Great Denim Pocket organizer

27 Feb

To Sew or not to Sew… That is the question.I love creating but I don’t sew – Well, not much anyway.   I wanted something with an options so that I could make a simpler version and those of you who are more adventurous or creative can take it a step further. Here it is! Image

The denim pocket organizer. I love this and it’s a great way to recycle those old jeans.  Honestly, you will probably look at the picks and easily see what to do.

You will need:

Old denim jeans, pockets cut out

A scrap board of any kind. Pallet wood or inexpensive scraps from Home Depot or Lowe’s. Ask, they almost always have some.

Fabric Glue

Cut out the leg of the jeans so that it will wrap around the board. If you would like, you can use a different, contrasting fabric. Then glue it around. Use a good amount of glue.

That’s it. Now for those that sew or want to embellish, have at it! This can be taken in a lot of directions. Here is one done by another crafter. Enjoy!

Image Here the Sisters Of The Wild West used burlap to back the pockets and they did sew the pockets onto the fabric.
